Smasne Cellars is a boutique winery located in the heart of Washington’s wine country and led by Robert O. Smasne one of the Columbia Valley’s most prolific winemakers. Built on the foundation of tradition, farming heritage, love for the area and passion for wine our mission is to hand-craft small lots of limited-released, world-class artisan wines from vineyards that are noted for yielding the highest quality of wine grapes. We are committed to making wines with dimension and varietal expression; wines that allow the characters and terroir of Washington’s best vineyards to shine.
We strive to embody the tradition, passion and quality needed to produce distinguished wines of individual character, intensity and refined elegance while capturing the true character: the purest expression of fruit and distinctive terroir from each vineyard.
Our wines are hand-crafted in limited quantities, honoring traditional winemaking techniques; our grapes are hand-picked at optimal maturity. The wines are fermented and aged in small lots with careful attention to the selection of yeast and oak barrel coopers. Meticulous care is given to blending. Each wine is nurtured from vineyard to bottle by Robert O. Smasne, producing wines of exceptional character, varietal expression, refined elegance and a distinct sense of place.
